Born in 2011 out of a fascination with the craft of Kojima, the birthplace of Japanese denim, Okayama Denim curates the country's most celebrated makers, including Momotaro Jeans, Studio D'Artisan, Samurai Jeans, Fullcount and more, delivering the real thing to customers across more than 74 countries from our base in Tokyo. Guided by our philosophy, The Home of Japanese Selvedge Denim, we continue to share the color, the texture, and the quiet beauty that a pair of jeans takes on over time.

 

To mark our 15th anniversary, we are holding a pop-up at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books, a rare chance to encounter the history of Japanese selvedge denim, the handwork of the artisans behind each pair, and the celebrated Japanese denim brands known the world over. Whether you're discovering Japanese denim for the first time or have been wearing it for years, we invite you to experience its story in person.

An online store bringing Japanese selvedge denim to the world. Founded in 2011 as a relief effort following the Great East Japan Earthquake, it began in Kobe and grew into a journey alongside the makers of Kojima, the spiritual home of Japanese denim.

 

Now based in Tokyo, we curate Japan's most renowned denim brands and deliver Made-in-Japan pieces to customers in over 74 countries. Through our own label, OD+, we also produce special collaborations with these makers, models you won't find anywhere else.
