アーティスト YUGO. と さくらいはじめ によるコラボレーション展を福岡で開催します。

昨年に東京・代官山 蔦屋書店で初開催した本企画をより自由なスタイルと衝動的な表現で展開します。
今回も描き下ろしの共作や、お互いの過去作に相手が加筆した作品、さらに個人の最新作品等、
いま新たな表現に挑む2人の貴重な融合をぜひ会場でお楽しみください。

会期初日の6/27(土), 28(日)の2日間、
会場の巨大キャンバスに2人でライブペイントも実施します。

We are hosting a collaborative exhibition『Yeh』 by artists YUGO. and Sakurai Hajime in Fukuoka.

First held last year at DAIKANYAMA TSUTAYA BOOKS in Tokyo, this project will now be presented with a freer style and more impulsive expression.
The exhibition will feature collaborative works created specifically for this event, pieces where each artist has added to the other’s archive works, as well as their latest individual creations.
We invite you to come to the venue and enjoy this rare fusion of two artists currently challenging themselves with new forms of expression.

On the first two days of the exhibition, June 27 (Sat) , and June 28 (Sat) ,
the two artists will also perform a live painting session on a giant canvas at the venue.

【プロフィール】
YUGO.
ロンドン・NYのパンクやストリートカルチャーから強い影響を受け、社会に対する反抗・憤り等をテーマにした作品を多く描く。ロックバンド/ミュージシャンへのデザイン提供を中心に、アパレルブランドの店舗ビジュアルや音楽イベントのアートプロデュース等も行う。

YUGO. is strongly influenced by the punk and street culture of London and New York. He often creates works with themes such as rebellion and resentment against society, and also produces store visuals for apparel brands and art for music events.

さくらいはじめ
20世紀のポップ・カルチュア由来のインスピレーションを洗練された今の感覚でアップデート。ポップなモチーフをグラフィカルな構成とエモーショナルな表情で描く。個展やアートフェアではオリジナル作品を積極的に発表し、国内のみならずアジア・ヨーロッパを中心にワールドワイドなアーティストとして驀進。イラストレーターとしては、ファッション、音楽、エンターテイメントに関わる仕事も多く幅広い層に愛されている。

Sakurai Hajime takes his inspiration from 20th century pop culture and updates it with a sophisticated, contemporary sensibility. He depicts pop motifs with graphical composition and emotional expression. He actively presents original works at solo exhibitions and art fairs, and as a global artist, his works are shown not only in Japan, but also in Asia and Europe. As an illustrator, he is loved by a wide range of fashion, music, entertainment and more.
