国内外で活躍する版画工房キドプレスの仕事を、三沢厚彦、小林孝亘、小畑多丘、町田久美、束芋、オノデラユキとのコラボレーション作品を通して紹介します。

職人技とアートの魅力を紹介する「刷り師と作家～キドプレスの手しごと～」は、アーティストの描く線や、色、時には写真なども版に起こし、刷り上げていく陰の立役者である版画工房に焦点をあてた展示会です。多くの版画作品は、アーティストと版画工房の二人三脚で制作されております。
国内外で活躍してきた版画工房キドプレスは、アーティストに寄り添いながらその表現を最大限に具現化していきます。当会場では額を外し、シートでの展示をすることで、アーティスト達が描いた下図を刷り師が刷りあげたライブ感溢れる色や線をダイレクトにご覧いただけます。展示作品は全て販売されており、そのままお持ち帰りいただく事ができます。

Many printmaking works are created in collaboration between artists and printmaking studios.
The exhibition "Master Printer and Artists: The Work of KIDO Press, Inc."focuses on the printmakingstudios, which are the unsung heroes that bring the artists'lines, colors, and sometimes even photographs to life on the prints.KIDO Press, Inc., a renowned printmaking studio that has been active both domestically and internationally, strives to fully visualize the artists'expressions while working closely with them.
In this venue, the artworks are displayed without frames, allowing visitors to directly observe the vibrant colors and lines that the printmakers bring to life based on the artists'original designs. All exhibited works are available for purchase and can be taken home immediately.

版画工房 ／ Gallery KIDO Press (キドプレス)
KIDO Pressはプリンターの木戸 均がNew Yorkの版画工房、Universal Limited Art Editionsでの文化庁芸術家海外研修後、2005年に中央区新川に版画工房として設立をいたしました。またGallery KIDO Pressとして、これまでに三沢厚彦をはじめ、ウィスット・ポンニミット、O JUN、鴻池朋子、阪本トクロウ、束芋などの展覧会を新作版画の出版発表と連動しながら行ってきました。また、ジョン・カリン、キキ・スミスなど海外の第一線で活躍するアーティストの版画を制作、展示紹介をしています。また小畑多丘、土屋裕介、大石奈穂など期待の若手アーティストの企画展示にも力を入れています。このように、併設の版画工房で刷り師と作家の親密なコラボレーションによる版画制作をしながら、さらなるギャラリープログラムの充実を図っています。
